Score 88/100 · Drink 2000-2025, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

The 1990 Gloria is drinking quite well at age 32, offering up rich aromas of baking spices, blackberries, cassis, chimney soot, dried herbs and fresh leather. Medium-bodied, fleshy and savory, with melted tannins and an open-knit core of fruit, it's a creditable effort that's fully mature.

Surprisingly light, as well as lacking a mid-palate and flavor extraction, the 1990 Gloria is still a pleasant, middle-of-the-road, commercial wine that should be drunk over the next 5-7 years. Wine Advocate.February, 1993

About the producer

Ch. Gloria
Gloria

The modest Ch. Gloria was only created in the 1940s, when Henri Martin – a cooper – purchased some vines. With parcels dotted in amongst the region’s Classed Growths, it produces impressive wines. Today it's managed by Vanessa and Jean Triaud (Henri Martin’s granddaughter and grandson-in-law).
