Score 84/100 · Drink 1988, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
Gloria's huge, plummy, spicy bouquet is enticing. Dark ruby/garnet, with plenty of sweet, ripe fruit in evidence, this medium to full-bodied wine is deep, very fruity, and has been ready to drink since the late seventies. It appears to be in no danger of losing its fruit. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 1/88.

About the producer

Gloria
The modest Ch. Gloria was only created in the 1940s, when Henri Martin – a cooper – purchased some vines. With parcels dotted in amongst the region’s Classed Growths, it produces impressive wines. Today it's managed by Vanessa and Jean Triaud (Henri Martin’s granddaughter and grandson-in-law).
