Tasting notes
Score 85/100 · Drink 1985, Robert Parker, Dec 1995

One of the sleepers of the vintage, the 1982 La Tour-Figeac has never been disappointing. The last bottle I tasted was still full of life, with a healthy garnet color, and fragrant, spicy, cedary, blackcurrant-scented aromas. Soft, medium to full-bodied, with excellent concentration, this velvety-textured wine has never had a bad showing. It continues to suggest it will last for another 7-8 years, although owners of it should drink it up. Tasted 12 times since bottling with consistent notes.
