Tasting notes
A slightly acetyl, oaky nose. The tannins are a little coarse but with lovely sappy fruit at the end.

Polished, sweet nose and lots of tannins tucked in there. Great energy. Dry finish but not much charm. (JR)
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Ripe berries, integrated vanilla spice, liquorice, leather, cedar – this is claret with all guns blazing. Very, very savoury finish. (RH)
Blackcurrant, wood spice, lots of grippy tannins. Rather impenetrable at this stage. Enigmatic – not unbalanced, but really very suppressed, in a way that most other 2010s don't seem to be, even at this young stage. (RH)
About the producer

Louis Gaspard d’Estournel purchased Cos Labory in 1847 and in tribute to this history, the Reybier family (owners of Cos d’Estournel today) acquired the Saint-Estèphe estate and its 35 hectares of vines in 2023.
