Tasting notes
This medium-bodied, peppery, herbaceous offering lacks depth. The color is a dark ruby, and the wine reveals nice berry and cassis fruit, but little else. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

Pretty plum, currant and cherry aromas. Light- to medium-bodied, with light, delicate tannins and a fresh finish. A bit lighter than I remember from barrel. Drink now through 2006. 5,705 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2001.

About the producer

Louis Gaspard d’Estournel purchased Cos Labory in 1847 and in tribute to this history, the Reybier family (owners of Cos d’Estournel today) acquired the Saint-Estèphe estate and its 35 hectares of vines in 2023.
