Subdued but tangy aromas of apricot and orange. Less expressive today than the regular village cuvee -perhaps more stunted from the recent bottling-but also a bit livelier in the mouth. A more shapely wine, and longer on the aftertaste.

The 2002 Meursault Desiree is a hugely spicy, floral wine. Rich, satiny-textured, and medium-bodied, it is juicy, packed with pears as well as ginger and possesses a long, seamless finish.
