Good medium red. Red cherry and spices on the nose. Juicy, suave and delineated, combining a creamy texture and full ripeness with excellent grip and verve. Musky, savory finishing flavors really spread over the palate, with a rocky quality lifting the aftertaste. This steep site benefited from the cooling influence of the Combe de Lavaut in 2009. Pacalet says the spiciness on the nose is from the peppery stems, as he uses no new barrels for this cuvee
