Score 88/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Robert Parker, Jun 2015
From the ever-reliable Francis Courselle, this blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is a big-time winner for Thieuley. The 2005 has a dense plum/ruby/purple color and loads of smoked cigar tobacco mixed with spice box, earth, ripe black cherries and cassis. What a beauty! This wine, which received about 20% new oak, is lush and heady. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. A sleeper of the vintage.

Floral, perfumed, very pretty and charming. Mouthfilling fruit. Reasonable persistence. Well balanced. (JR)

Fresh with citrus and mineral notes. Dry, clean, quite rich and slightly oily. Good length. (JH)
