Tasting notes
Good berry and earth character, but a bit lean on the finish. Medium-bodied, with vanilla, chocolate and berry flavors. Slightly dry finish. Too much wood? Not as good as when tasted from barrel. Best after 2000. -James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2000

A dark plum color is accompanied by an exotic nose of roasted espresso beans, sweet cherry jam, and lavish toasty oak. Soft, round, and medium-bodied, with attractive fruit, this wine pushes the oak to its limit, but there is no doubting its luscious fruit and seductive, open-knit style. Drink it over the next 8-9 years. Apr 2000, www.robertparker.com
