Score 15/20 · Jancis Robinson, May 2013

100% Chardonnay from villages near Lugny in the Mâconnais. The vineyards are on south-southeast-facing slopes, with limestone soil and an average vine age of 30 years. The grapes are harvested by hand and machine, and pressed by a pneumatic press. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless-steel vats and the wine is left on its lees in the stainless-steel tanks for five months prior to bottling. Residual sugar: 0.95 g/l. Winemaker: Gregoire Pissot. Piercing scent. Then just a bit dull and tired on the palate. Messy finish. (JR)
