The 2007 Beau-Séjour Bécot has a pretty and almost Burgundy-like bouquet with red cherries, red plum and crushed strawberry fruit, not intense but well defined and the kind you want to keep poking your nose into. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation, fresh and vibrant with just the right amount of spiciness that lends tension. Yes, there is still something Burgundy-like about this 2007 and I suspect it will be finished down to the very last drop. Tasted at the château.

Mid to dark crimson. Simple sweet nose. Sinewy palate with rather aggressive acidity. A bit mean on the finish. Very drying. More succulence please! (JR)

Very dark purple. Rather odd oak notes. A little overworked. Slightly uncomfy. (JR)
