Sweet raspberries, red currants, and fresh herbs can be found in the aromatics of the 1999 Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots. Medium-bodied and silky-textured, it is firm and masculine. Cherries, strawberries, and raspberries dominate its expressive, structured character. Projected maturity: 2003-2008. Importer: Seagram Chateau and Estate Wines Company, New York, NY; tel. Bright medium ruby. Black cherry and cocoa powder on the nose. Lush, silky and sweet, with lovely thickness and suave texture; cherry and redcurrant flavors. Then a bit firmer and less round on the finish than the Echezeaux ("more physical" is how Grivot describes it).
