Tasting notes
Heliotrope and honeysuckle combine for a heady aromatic display. Apple seed piquancy and the bitter side of vanilla bean are well integrated into a plush, glossy midpalate. For a Riesling of such richness and fullness, this one’s finish boasts an impressive sense of transparency to underlying alkali and wet stone as well as to the aforementioned floral elements. Piquancy here is restrained and delightfully stimulating, for an effect suggestive of apple skin and honeysuckle stem, and there is just enough primary apple juiciness to refresh.

Plenty of reductive, grapefruit funk here, this has a flinty array of lime and lemon aromas, as well as a super juicy and succulent palate that delivers a bold, smooth and pithy finish. Drink or hold.
A very fresh fragrance of green fruit and green mint inspires the olfactory perception. The 2018 trademark of rich texture is not missing, but perfectly balanced by cool minerality and the bite of crunchy green fruit and sappy herbs. Rock salt on the finish adds a firm edge. (MS)
