Tasting notes
The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Saints-Juliens is another of the more primary, introverted wines in the range, exhibiting aromas of wild berries, woodsmoke, peonies and forest floor. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and youthfully chewy, its nicely concentrated core of fruit wrapped up in fine-grained but assertive tannin. I'd expect this to round out considerably with further bottle age.

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux St. Julien offers uncomplicated red cherry and crushed strawberry aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a touch of white pepper sprinkled over the red fruit, and a finely tuned and quite precise finish. Just a village cru? It has premier cru ambitions. Very fine.
An attractively spicy nose is composed mostly by ripe dark pinot fruit along with hints of violet and warm earth. The velvet-textured medium-bodied flavors possess very good verve and a subtle minerality while the lingering finish is at once austere and ever-so-mildly rustic. This is an excellent Nuits villages and worth checking out.
