Note: a purchase of fruit from Ez Crets. Here too there is a very much suggestion of the exotic with its aromas of pear and white peach along with a much broader array of floral elements. The succulent, seductive and suave medium weight flavors flash evident power on the clean and markedly dry finale that also reflects a touch of acid tang. Once again, I don't think the tanginess will last and my range again assumes that it won't.*Burghound Outstanding!*

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Maltroie 1er Cru has a composed and beautifully defined bouquet with orange blossom, crushed stone and light citrus scents, gradually gaining intensity in the glass. The palate has wonderful texture, slightly honeyed with immense depth and a counterbalancing silver thread of acidity. The finish has real power and drive, but it never forgets to deliver precision and finesse. Bon vin.(NM)

Offering aromas of white flowers, crisp green orchard fruit and toasted nuts, the 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie is medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with tangy acids and a long, saline finish.
