Tasting notes
(Boillot has a single new 350-liter barrel of this juice): Bright yellow. Extremely unevolved nose hints at smoky oak and grilled nuts. More powerful, full and backward than the Chevalier-Montrachet; there's some yellow peach fruit lurking but today the wine is dominated by saline minerality and spices. Finishes with a tannic impression and lingering spices. This Montrachet has the structure of a red wine.

About the producer

Based in Meursault and farming some of the finest vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot is a leading address in Burgundy. He crafts fine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the estate is best known for its flagship monopole vineyard, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère.
