Tasting notes
From one of the original domaines in the Vineyard Brands portfolio, the 2014 Nuits St Georges 1Er Cru Boudots is elegant and seamless, with attractive raspberry and cherry fruits, spice and underbrush aromas all soaring from the glass. Possessing fine tannins, incredible elegance, and a great, great finish, it should keep for another two decades or more.

The 2014 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots comes from 0.39-hectares of 30-year-old vine. It has a timid bouquet at first, one that demands encouragement from the glass. It eventually unfurls to reveal a precise, pretty, almost Vosne-like bouquet. The palate is very refined, again quite Vosne-like (which is no surprise as it is located on the same vein of terroir as Malconsorts), filigree tannin segueing into a precise, minerally finish. This is excellent and it may merit a higher score down the line.
