2017 Domaine du Cellier aux Moines Puligny Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles is showing nicely, unwinding in the glass with a youthfully reserved nose of citrus oil, pear, pastry cream, blanched almonds and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly satiny and layered, it's nicely concentrated, with racy acids, fine structuring extract and good back-end grip. This is an understated wine from the Domaine du Cellier Aux Moines, and I suspect it will show even better with five or six years' bottle age.
