(from the Chassagne side; Girardin buys must, taking the wine in July): Bright yellow. Great purity to the aromas of lemon, nectarine, menthol, iodine and nut oils. Huge, sappy and smooth, showing outstanding floral and iodiney perfume to the sweet, rich stone fruit, menthol and marzipan flavors. Finishes with a distinctly tannic quality and a note of bitter almond that lingers in the retronasal passage. Forget this one for at least five years.
