Not yet bottled. Almost no nose at all. Warm and brûléed red fruit, strongly punctuated tannins. Slightly herbal, and the chew of a vanilla pod. But very embryonic. (TC)

Full ruby. Austere nose hints at black fruits, licorice and soil tones, with a violet element emerging with air. Broad and deep but utterly primary and unforthcoming. The dark fruit flavors showed increasing creaminess as the wine opened in the glass, but this very firmly structured wine will need extended aging to absorb its substantial tongue-coating tannins and to reveal its full personality. The longest of these 2015s to this point.
