Tasting notes
Harvested at ripe 15% potential alcohol, the golden-yellow 2015 Pinot Gris Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain shows the purity and flintiness of its terroir combined with an unreal freshness for the 2015 vintage. On the palate this wine is exploding with tension. It is lush and vibrant, round and structured. Tasted as a sample in February 2017.

This is dailed back and dailed in. The purity to this is superb with crushed apple, peach, lemon and slate character. Full body, lightly sweet and very fruity but the linear length and focus are impressive. Like tasting freshly picked grapes. Drink now or hold for as long as you like. Energy. Purity. Almost minty finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Jun 2017, www.jamessuckling.com
