One of the most composed, cool and elegant wines from this celebrated Oakville vineyard this vintage. Fragrant aromas of rose petals, blueberries and dark cherries, then lush, plush dark plums, dark chocolate, spearmint, cocoa and hints of savory bay leaves and tobacco. Super smooth and velvety in texture, with a warm, broad mouthfeel and a lingering finish. Drinkable now, but best from 2030.

Full-bodied, deep, and rich on the palate, it shows a broad, velvety texture and fine tannins. This brilliant effort will shine for two decades or more.
This site's loamy earth seems almost more dusty in this vintage, adding a unique twist to the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. Dried spices and black cherries round out the aromatic profile. This full-bodied wine is so lush, so approachable, it's hard to imagine this aging the way past vintages have, but perhaps that's a bit unfair. There's still ample concentration, a ripe, suede-like feel to the tannins and a long, persistent finish.
