Score 16/20 · Drink 2016-2021, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Apr 2012

100% Merlot. 40% new oak. Deep smudgy cherry red. Much sweeter smelling than the Petit Cantenac – vanilla and blueberry and spice. Firm and chewy and bags of Merlot lushness and yet with the freshness to balance. More density than the Petit Cantenac though perhaps not the same aromatic energy. (JH)
