Tasting notes
A nose of cherry blossom and honeysuckle, pear and mint entices even as it soothingly cools, anticipating a silken, buoyant, lusciously-fruited palate shot through with seductive inner-mouth perfume. A hint of underlying stoniness helps set-off the prominent fruit, which is backed by similarly prominent sweetness, in a soothingly lingering finish.

The 2015 Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese is clear, ripe and intense on the nose, intermixing flinty, herbal and slate aromas with ripe Riesling and floral aromas. The wine is piquant and racy on the palate, very lush and juicy, revealing lovely grip. The grapes were picked with 92° Oechsle and the fermentation was stopped at 9.3% alcohol and 62 grams of residual sugar. The finish is intense and concentrated but also stimulatingly salty. Gorgeous!
Subtle, powdery, creamy nose. Round and gorgeous with great precise ripe fruit balanced by tight acidity. Bravo! (JR)
