Tasting notes
Deep red-ruby. Pungent aromas of red berries, minerals and spicy oak, with a whiff of dill. Juicy, gripping and precise, with enticing cherry-berry flavors. Nicely concentrated, focused wine with restrained sweetness and good depth of flavor. Finishes with good mineral extract and notes of mocha and brown spices.

(a special two-barrel lot from a section of Rue de Vergy abutting Clos de Tart) Full ruby. Knockout sweet nose combines blackberry, violet, minerals, brown spices, licorice and fresh blood. Lush, dense and compellingly sweet in the mouth, but not at all heavy; steadily building flavors really explode on the back end, conveying a powerful impression of soil tones. Finishing notes of smoked meat, leather and iron. Has the layered texture and superb persistence of a grand cru.
