Good bright deep red. Complex, expressive aromas of raspberry liqueur, currant and musky underbrush. Dense, plump and sweet, but with good ripe acidity giving it plenty of life in the mouth. Today, the wine's dusty tannins have not yet harmonized with the wine's acids.

Medium red. Aromas of raspberry, strawberry, faded rose and nutmeg; at once fresh and slightly jammy. Silky in the mouth but a bit subdued today, hinting at red fruits and licorice. Could use a bit more lift in the middle palate. Finishes with fairly fine-grained, slightly dry tannins and notes of licorice and mint.

Good freshness. Rich and dense. Lively and fresh, yet with an undertow of quite complex, dense fruit. (JR)
