Just a touch below the 2009 Lilian Ladouys in terms of sheer enjoyment and readiness to drink. This is charming, and has plenty of brambled hedgerow fruits, with cocoa dusting and rose petal aromatics. A little soft on the finish, but enjoyable.

Decadent aromas of dried meat, mushrooms and berries. Full-bodied, very tight and powerful with chewy tannins and a linear finish. Slightly drying tannins. Drink or hold.

Polished and sweet. Easy peasy and lots of charm. Just a bit chocolatey. (JR)

Bright dark red. Wild meaty aromas and flavors of redcurrant, plum and leather. Concentrated, rich and seamless, with sappy, well-integrated acidity cutting through the wine's velvety texture and baby fat. Ripe tannins saturate the palate on the persistent finish. Another serious outperformer in 2010.
