Tasting notes
The 2015 Sarget de Gruaud-Larose is plump, fruity and delicious. Floral, citrus and spice notes perk up the red-toned fruit nicely in this attractive mid-weigh second wine from Gruaud-Larose. Although not especially complex, this tasty Saint-Julien will deliver plenty of pleasure over the next few years.

The medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Sarget de Gruaud-Larose has an earthy, meaty nose over a core of red and black plums with a waft of fungi. Light to medium-bodied, soft, juicy and refreshing in the mouth, it’s uncomplicated yet nicely done.
High 72% Cabernet gives this second wine firm, direct fruit with the natural rich smoothness seen in the grand vin. More elegant and precise than in the past. Apr 2016, Steven Spurrier, www.Decanter.com, Drink: 2019-2026
