Tasting notes
Bright, deep red-ruby. Subdued but pure aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, minerals and mint. Suave on entry, then complex but reticent in the middle palate, with a restrained sweetness and good lift. I find this quite closed today. The substantial, chocolatey tannins arrive late, with a stony quality extending the finish.

Bright ruby-red. Wilder aromas of blackberry, spice and meat. Supple, round and sweet, with enticing flavors of dark berries and smoke. Finishes with broad, chocolatey tannins.
Very dark. Pure, intense, direct, very please-all. Who could possibly object to this except the most rigid purist? Not subtle but there is lots packed in there. Dry finish but massively broad fruit on the palate. (JR)
