Pale greyish crimson. Light, vaguely vegetal nose. Lots of acidity, probably not the lowest yielding vines here, but the overall result is one of a nicely balanced, zesty premier cru. Attractive skein of refreshment and polished tannins. Just not really grand cru weight. (JR)

Dusty blackberry aroma. Very fine boned and light-footed. Silky, scented but light. (JH)

Good dark red. Complex nose combines red fruits, wild herbs, spices and mint. Tight and penetrating on the palate; much less expressive today than the Echezeaux but dense, pure, vibrant and delineated. Showed increasing minerality with aeration but this very closed wine will need extended bottle aging to gain in pliancy. Finishes long and stylish.
