Barrel sample. Rich and heady and perfumed. Though still in the same idiom and the non-VV cuvée: the whole fruit and nothing but the fruit. Perhaps just a bit too simple for its own good? (JR)

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes has a clean, precise bouquet of perfumed, floral black cherry and black currant aromas, laced with violet. The palate is very well balanced with succulent tannins, supremely well-judged acidity and a very tender, persistent finish. Very classy and highly recommended.
