There is a new Savagnin named after Ganevat's younger son, the 2015 Savagnin Antide, produced with the fruit from three different vineyards averaging 45 years of age. It aged in a 27-hectoliter oak foudre, and was resting in stainless steel waiting to be bottled when I tasted it in early November 2017. 2015 is the first vintage of this wine, which has some toasty notes and hints of almonds, with some bitterness in the flavors. It's produced with 80% Savagnin Jaune, a special strain of the grape. This is more opulent, has more volume, and feels a tad heavier than the other Savagnin, despite having the citrus character of the year.
