Tasting notes
The 2018 Saint-Aubin Le Charmois 1er Cru, which comes from vines located on an east-facing slope on limestone-rich soils, has a strict, austere and utterly compelling bouquet that would embarrass many more expensive Puligny-Montrachets. The palate is an absolute joy with pretty citrus fruit intermingling with peach skin and spices, but it’s the mineral drive that takes over toward the finish and says, "I own this wine." Brilliant.

Mingling aromas of pear and fresh peach with hints of mirabelle plums and fresh pastry, Colin's 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Le Charmois is medium to full-bodied, charming and expressive, with succulent acids underpinning an open-knit core of generous fruit. This hails from an easterly exposed site planted in 1982.
