The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cabottes is similarly exquisite, soaring from the glass with notes of red cherries, raspberries, sweet spices and rose petals, complemented by subtle soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and dynamic, with lively acids, beautifully refined tannins and a long, penetrating finish, it's worth a special effort to seek out.

20% whole bunch. Cabottes is the name of the cuvée not a lieu-dit. A mix of vines from Échanges, Fremières and Maladières (near the main road). Cask sample. Cassis notes. Hauntingly rich. Lots of sweetness and charm. The sort of wine you might think was too sweet for its own good. But Tremblay’s track record suggests otherwise. (JR)
