Tasting notes
Good medium red. Sexy aromas of raspberry, minerals and chocolate. Concentrated, lush and sweet, with ripe acidity giving the middle palate a harmonious quality. Finishes with suave tannins and lovely lingering sweetness. This slightly warm wine appears to be shutting down and should probably be held for a few years.

Very good deep red. Slightly high-toned aromas of raspberry and smoked meat. Opulent and broad but with a harmonious minerality giving shape to this rather full, sweet wine. With its liqueur-like richness, this has the volume of a grand cru if not quite the length. Really saturates the mouth on the suavely tannic finish. If the Nuits Cras is a wake-up wine, this one's for bedtime, offers Liger-Belair. My sample was taken ten days before my visit, before the wine was racked.
