Honey, ginger, lemon juice – lovely development here, no shortage of fruit freshness. Lovely saline and flint character, too. (RH)

48% aged in new French 500-litre oak barrels, 52% aged in concrete eggs, for eight months. Mid-gold colour. Strong oak scent, lots of non-fruit flavours in the mix here: oil, nuts, dried citrus. Lots of textural weight on the palate. Difficult to pin down, this, a puzzle of a wine, but an enjoyable one. (RH)
