Bursting with aromas of candied apples, the 2003 Puligny-Montrachet La Garenne (white) is light to medium-bodied and supple. This sappy, satin-textured wine displays spiced pear flavors that linger in its impressively long, seamless finish. It should be drunk over the next 5-6 years. Dee ply pitched, slightly exotic aromas of smoke, marzipan and hazelnut, with hints of banana and minerals. Fat, soft and easygoing, with the banana note carrying through in the mouth. Finishes with a slightly tart edge of acidity.
