Two-thirds Cabernet. The Dubourdieu's home property. Bright ruby. Pretty intense and focused – some real energy in this wine. Good minerality and gorgeously polished fruit on the mid palate. SO seductive. Nice dry kick on the end but you could actually enjoy it already. (JR)

Plenty of sweet black fruit and mocha. Rich, sweet and inviting without being jammy. Smoky top notes. Firm fine and fresh. Good weight of fruit and long minerally finish. (JH)

Very pale. Quite floral on the nose like so many of the best 2006 whites. Smoky too. Very lively and flirtatious – perhaps not quite the weight of some but lots of appeal. Slight astringency on the finish for the moment. (JR)
