Tasted at Bordeaux Index's annual 10-Year On tasting in London. The 2006 La Dame de Montrose has a rather faded, dusty nose that needs more fruit. It feels a little fatigued. The palate is dry in the mouth, astringent and feels rather hollow on the finish. I did not like this deuxième vin from barrel and I am not particularly fond of it after ten years! Tasted January 2016.

Tasted blind. Lightly cheesy nose. A bit heavy and thick but no shortage of extract. Picked just a little too late? A bit lacking drive. (JR)

Magnum. Blackish pale crimson. Sweet, powdery nose that seems a little confected. Then pretty weak. I can’t really see the point of buying this when you could get something more rewarding for much less money, I’m afraid. (JR)
