Pale, bright yellow. Cooler aromas of lime blossom, menthol and tea, with a light mintiness. Spicy and vibrant, with ineffably complex flavors of lemon thyme, lime blossom, caraway seed, minerals and mint. Lively acids give lift and delicacy to the fruit. Wonderfully classy wine, finishing very long and subtle.

(a relatively high 78% sauvignon blanc, with 22% semillon; semillon production was down sharply due to the summer drought) Pale, green-tinged color. High-pitched, highly perfumed nose combines lime blossom and stony minerality. Densely packed and almost painfully intense, with flavors of crystallized yellow plum and honey. Very backward today, and dominated by its acidity, but already remarkably long and subtle on the finish. "Both the semillon and the sauvignon came in with high acidity in 2002," noted enologist Jean-Philippe Masclet.
