Tasting notes
Medium red. Sweeter but a bit higher-toned on the nose than the village Vosne, showing ripe raspberry and mineral notes. Sweet and smooth but lively in the mouth; comes across as riper than the Vosne-Romanée but with more mineral energy. The firm-edged finish hints at leather and earth but this wine is nonetheless fresher than the 2015 version.

(12. 4% alcohol after chaptalization): Medium red. Dark fruits, smoky minerality and earth on the nose. Sweet and silky but less expressive today than the village Vosne, showing a firm spine of acidity as well as its oak component (just 20% new). Finishes tight, tannic and youthfully closed. This and the following 2014s are still in barrels, unracked, with very low levels of sulfur.
