2003 E. Guigal Condrieu la Luminescence

Sweet wine made from early picked grapes (21 aug 03) at a potential alcohol of 18.4 per cent. It was fermented to 15 per cent so it is pretty sturdy but could do with a little more acidity to give it real zip and refreshment value. We were served it, à la francaise, as an aperitif but it could well look better at the end of a meal, I feel. (JR)
