Score 95/100 · Drink 2024-2054, Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate, Mar 2024

The 2011 Moelleux is brilliant, evoking aromas of white truffle, white fruits, ripe orchard fruits, spices and white flowers with a touch of mango. Full-bodied, it’s rich and seamless, with an excellent concentration on the mid-palate. It concludes with an energetic yet mineral texture enhanced by racy acids and a delicate, sumptuous ethereal finish. This is a dense but charming vintage for Les Jardins de Babylone, and it could age gracefully over the next 40–50 years.

100% Petit Manseng. RS 128 g/l, 7.5 g/l acidity (expressed as sulphuric). Pale gold. Gorgeous rich apricot fruit. Apricot and pineapple. Superb freshness and balance. Sweet and yet so fresh. Spice on the tip of the tongue, filled with cool mandarin fruit. Stunning beauty and length. (JH)
