Tasting notes
Another spectacular wine is the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec that was raised 22 months in new French oak. There are roughly 500 cases, and it's a much tighter, more structured wine compared to the Cabernet Franc, offering dark currants, smoked tobacco, graphite, black cherries, and new leather-like aromas and flavors. It's powerful, full-bodied, has ripe, building tannins, terrific mid-palate depth, and a great finish.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is another rich, heady wine from Sinegal. Super-ripe dark cherry, mocha, licorice, spice, new leather and a kiss of oak build as this sumptuous, full-bodied Cabernet shows off its notable breadth and explosive energy. It, too, is an infant. Swaths of tannin wrap around the substantial finish.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is packed with dark-toned fruit, leather, spice, menthol, chocolate and coffee. This dark, brooding powerhouse needs time, obviously. Like all the 2021s, it is a bit more restrained than some previous years, but all the elements are so nicely balanced.
