Mid garnet with a hint of brick at the rim. Complex aroma of wild red berries and a suggestion of dried cherry. Captivating and inviting. Very fine, almost chalky, tannins, which heighten the freshness. So dry without being drying. Elegant and extremely persistent, with a fine, perfectly judged grip on the finish and the savoury aftertaste of Sangiovese. (JH)
