Tasting notes
Another explosive wine, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is a real head-turner. The radiance of the vintage comes through in spades. Dark, voluptuous and intense, the 2012 flows across the palate with notable depth. Ripe, silky tannins support a core of dark red stone fruits, spices, wild flowers, cedar and new French oak.

Another outrageous effort is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon). Its opaque purple color is followed by aromas of pen ink, graphite, blackberry and blueberry liqueur, charcoal and flowers. Dense, full-bodied, multidimensional, long, silky and opulent, this stunning Cabernet can be drunk now or cellared for 15-20 years.
Super-ripe red cherries, plums, mocha, licorice and sweet spices inform the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. The style is rich, super-ripe and intense, but like all of the Kamen 2012s, the Cabernet is distinguished for its freshness and verve, both of which serve to balance some of the more intense qualities in the glass.
