The 2018 Barolo Riserva Rocche dell’Annunziata is a wine of power and stature, two things that were not easy to come by in this vintage. Dark, sensual and enveloping, with notes of cedar, kirsch, menthol, sweet oak and tobacco, the 2018 has a ton to offer. Best of all, it will drink well with minimal cellaring. This is a fine 2018.

The 2018 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata is a very pretty and elegant wine. In 2018, there is maybe just a bit more nervousness and tannic spine than most years. Floral and spice accents lift the bright red/purplish fruit. At times relatively open and forward, while in other moments more restrained, the 2018 is full of complexity. This is nicely done.
