Score 90/100 · Drink 2015-2018, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2015

Calera's 1980 Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard is burly and fully mature, but it has also stood the test of time well. Still dense and powerful, the 1980 is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. Sweet black cherries, smoke, licorice and tar add complexity in a decidedly dark, tannic Pinot.
