55-year-old vines on clay limestone. Aged in oak barrels for 10 months (25–30% new). Pale garnet with an evolved rim. Really supple and rather gorgeous. There's a hint of oak on this but the fruit is pretty sumptuously ripe. It doesn't exactly have grunt and complexity but it's hugely flattering. Quite long. But not as refreshing as the Vieilles Vignes. (JR)
