Tasting notes
The 2014 Faurie de Souchard has a crisp redcurrant and raspberry coulis scented bouquet, intense but retaining admirable delineation and freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, supple in the mouth with a keen line of acidity. There is a lovely flow, a sense of harmony to this Saint Emilion, ergo it constitutes one of the best wines that I have tasted from the estate.

The 2014 Faurie de Souchard has turned out beautifully. Sweet red cherry preserve, rose petal, mint and spice give striking aromatic lift to balance the supple, red-toned fruit. There is gorgeous purity and sensuality to the flavors, but also good aromatic intensity. The 2014 needs a few years in bottle to soften, but it is super-impressive and appealing today. Tasted two times.
The 2014 Faurie de Souchard is decidedly supple and juicy, with plenty of jammy red berry, spice and mocha pushed forward. I imagine the 2014 will drink well pretty much right out of the gate given its voluptuous, racy personality. A second sample was a bit tighter and more tannic, but equally impressive. Tasted two times.
